When Lauren Morais landed her role in VisionQuest, she was literally selling tickets to Captain America: Brave New World at a movie theater. Now, she's a breakout star of the Disney+ series, playing the quick-fingered Lisa Molinari, a master pickpocket who becomes Tommy's closest ally and maybe something more. In a recent chat, Morais peeled back the layers of her character, teased what's ahead after that jaw-dropping Episode 6, and shared her wishlist for future MCU encounters.

Lisa's journey has been a rollercoaster—from a prison bus meet-cute with Tommy to sneaking into a gala and getting nanobots implanted in her. Morais revealed the backstory she crafted to make Lisa feel real: "In my head, the blip took her mom. She lived with her mum—she didn't really know her dad—and she lived in Cardiff and had to fend for herself." That upbringing shaped Lisa's street-smart edge, and Morais even asked the costume designer for a Welsh spoon necklace as a nod to her character's roots.

Morais drew inspiration from the strong women she grew up with in Cardiff, saying, "There are so many cool girls—a lot of survivors from where I'm from." That authenticity shines through in every scene, making Lisa feel like a real person navigating a wild sci-fi world.

Episode 6 was a turning point, with Lisa and Tommy sharing a kiss and Lisa undergoing a "harrowing" transformation. Morais broke down the emotional weight of those moments, noting how the nanobots change everything for her character. "It's a lot to process," she said, hinting that Lisa's survival instincts will be tested like never before.

When asked about potential MCU crossovers, Morais lit up. She's a big fan of Agatha Harkness, and she loves the idea of Lisa meeting the witch. "I think they'd size each other up a bit," she laughed. "Lisa would try to pickpocket Agatha, but I don't think she'd get far." She also mentioned Yelena Belova as a dream interaction, imagining the two would have a blast causing chaos together.

Morais also drew parallels between Lisa and Tommy's dynamic and the relationship between Billy and Agatha in Agatha All Along. "They're both on journeys together and so close to someone yet so far away," she noted, highlighting the secrecy and trust issues that define both pairs.

As VisionQuest continues to dominate Disney+, fans are eager to see where Lisa's story goes. Morais's performance has already made her a fan favorite, and with her charisma and depth, it's clear she's just getting started. Whether she's pickpocketing her way into trouble or forming unlikely alliances, Lisa Molinari is a character to watch.
