It's a strange thing to say that you're thrilled and excited about meeting your Doom — and yet that's exactly the situation we find ourselves in, because we're just weeks away from meeting the one villain who could truly make Earth's Mightiest Heroes tremble. Avengers: Doomsday is preparing to introduce one of the most formidable villains in Marvel history, with perhaps the most iconic actor in comic book movie history returning to take on a new role. While the upcoming blockbuster is bringing together an almost ridiculous number of familiar faces, one thing is clear: this one is all about Doom.
Collider can exclusively debut brand new 4DX and ScreenX posters for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday, featuring Doctor Doom. The striking new designs embrace the character's signature black-and-green color scheme, abandoning the enormous ensemble approach usually associated with Marvel's crossover movies in favor of putting the spotlight entirely on its newest major villain for the 4DX poster. No Avengers, no X-Men, and no other superheroes. Just Doom. With the ScreenX poster, fans get a glimpse of the coven of Latverian witches surrounding the MCU's next big bad.
The posters arrive ahead of the film's December 18 theatrical release, with 4DX and ScreenX screenings offering audiences perhaps the most immersive and intense ways to experience the latest Marvel blockbuster. Both premium formats: 4DX incorporates synchronized motion seating and environmental effects — wind, water, all the elements you'd probably want — and the whole experience brings the audience and the film closer together than ever before; ScreenX extends the typical theater screen around the walls of the theater to fully bring the audience into the world of the film.
Who's Involved in 'Avengers: Doomsday'?
Doomsday is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, perhaps the two men who you would want behind such a massive crossover event, having previously delivered a knockout four-for-four with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Among those coming back for another round of Avenging are Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. They'll be joined by returning mutants including Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler.
The film will also bring Marvel's First Family into the wider crossover, with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. There are more, trust us, but the fact that, with so many heroes reassembling for this one, the decision to give Doom and his coven the poster feels fitting, because this is the one threat that even the Avengers may not be able to stop. And if there's one character in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe who wouldn't want to share the spotlight, it's Victor von Doom.

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026, including screenings in 4DX. Stay tuned at Collider for more.
