After nearly four decades, Masters of the Universe has finally returned to theaters, and early buzz suggests Travis Knight's reboot might be worth the wait. The film has rekindled excitement among longtime He-Man fans while introducing a new generation to the vibrant world of Eternia. But the biggest surprise isn't on the main screen—it's a post-credits scene that sets up a major character's cinematic debut.

In an exclusive chat with Collider, Knight and star Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Adam) opened up about the jaw-dropping moment that reveals She-Ra, Princess Adora, is alive and well in this new universe. While Knight remained coy about the actress playing the role, he shared his emotional reaction to seeing her on set. "One of the craziest experiences for me was when we had a pre-shoot day with camera tests, where everyone came out, all the actors came out in their costumes, and it was amazing to see these incredible actors wearing these amazing costumes and props," Knight said. "So, to see her on set, it was a similar kind of thing. I just never thought I would see her on the big screen, and she looks amazing."

Lightning-Fast Classics: 10 Old Movies That Still Race Ahead
Think old movies are slow? These 10 classics from the 1930s to the 1960s prove otherwise, with breakneck pacing that rivals modern films.

Galitzine, equally tight-lipped, admitted he couldn't resist sneaking a peek at the shoot. "I heard it was going down on set. I was in my trailer, and I said, 'I need to come and see this.' It's very exciting, obviously. There are so many wonderful characters, but obviously the He-Man/She-Ra relationship is a very exciting prospect, so we will see what happens," he revealed.

Knight emphasized that She-Ra has always been integral to the franchise's lore. "She's special to me, she's special to people that I care about, and I would love to see her story on the big screen," he said. However, he acknowledged that the decision isn't his alone. "In the end, none of these things are up to me. I approach these things as if we get one chance to make these movies, to tell these stories, and we left everything on the field. We gave it everything we had. If that's the only chance we get to tell these stories, then I'm proud of what we did. But if people demand more, I would love for us to be able to tell more, and she would be a huge part of that."

The film's box office performance will ultimately decide whether She-Ra gets her own big-screen adventure. Early projections peg the domestic opening between $25-$35 million, with an IMAX release that has already pushed The Mandalorian and Grogu out of theaters. The rivalry between the two franchises is ironic: He-Man exists because Mattel passed on licensing Star Wars toys in 1980, leading them to create their own sci-fi toy line. Now, they're competing head-to-head at the box office.

Knight's comments echo the sentiment that audience turnout is key. "The future of the franchise is ultimately up to the audience's demands," he noted. With She-Ra's appearance generating buzz, fans are eager to see if the studio will greenlight a sequel. For now, Masters of the Universe is in theaters, and the fate of Eternia—and its princess—rests in the hands of moviegoers.
