Prime Video has been doubling down on YA content, and Sterling Point has quickly become one of its standout hits. The series, created by Megan Park (My Old Ass), follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin) as she discovers a lake island inheritance in Muskoka, Canada, along with a sister she never knew and a trove of family secrets. After a successful August premiere, the show was renewed for a second season, and fans are eager to see what's next.
In a recent interview with Collider, Rubin teased what she hopes Season 2 will explore. While she couldn't reveal specific plot points—she admitted she already knows what happens—she did share her wish for more focus on Annie's friendships, especially with characters like Oona (Bo Bragason) and Sully (Nikko Angelo Hinayo).
Annie's Circle Could Expand
Rubin praised Bragason, who is set to play Princess Zelda in the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie, and expressed a desire to see more of Annie and Oona's dynamic. "There's a lot that could happen, and an amazing friendship to be discovered," she said. "They kind of didn't get to interact a ton in Season 1. I love working with Bo—star, incredible person, incredible actor—but I also think that they would have a really interesting dynamic on camera."
Similarly, Rubin hopes Annie can spend more time with Sully, describing the character as a "ray of sunshine." She added, "I think Annie could learn a lot from hanging out with Sully. I would love to see Annie and them kind of tear it up a little bit."
Season 1 ended with Annie and Ramona (Amélie Hoeferle) agreeing to swap lives, with Annie staying on the island while Ramona heads to New York. When they reunite, there will be plenty of unresolved questions about their relationships, their parents, and the future of Sterling Point itself.
