Get ready to return to Westeros, because the Targaryen family drama is about to get even more fiery. House of the Dragon Season 3 has officially locked its premiere date: June 21, 2026, on HBO and HBO Max. The eight-episode season will continue adapting George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood, diving deeper into the brutal civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons.
Season 2 ended with both sides—the Blacks and the Greens—gearing up for all-out war. Now, Season 3 is expected to waste no time delivering one of the conflict's most pivotal early battles. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the Battle of the Gullet, a massive naval clash between House Velaryon and the Triarchy, complete with dragons dueling in the skies. Originally rumored for the Season 2 finale, the battle was pushed to Season 3 to give it the epic treatment it deserves.
