What Is 'The Beast' About?
With The Beast, Harlin is going back to his Die Hard 2 roots, delivering nonstop, adrenaline-fueled action. At the center is the iconic, expletive-loving Jackson we all know and love, playing the Commander in Chief.
Written by Umair Aleem—who co-wrote the upcoming Jason Statham sequel The Beekeeper—The Beast is a high-octane thriller that follows the U.S. President (Jackson) as he flees an attack, protected only by—and also trapped inside—the presidential limousine, nicknamed "The Beast." An unidentified hostile militia is plotting a coup, forcing the president to escape with his injured Secret Service agent, Taft (Joel Kinnaman), to reunite with his wife and save the world. The cast also includes Guy Burnet (Oppenheimer) and Eoin Macken (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter).
