Will Smith may have been keeping a low profile lately, but his box office muscle hasn't faded one bit. The actor's 2024 action blockbuster, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, is proving to be a streaming juggernaut, holding a spot in Netflix's global top 10 for an impressive ten consecutive weeks. That's a 70-day hot streak that shows audiences still can't get enough of Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.

The fourth installment in the beloved buddy-cop franchise pairs Smith with Martin Lawrence once again, delivering the signature mix of explosive action and laugh-out-loud comedy that has defined the series since the '90s. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah—the duo behind the underrated Marvel series Ms. Marvel—the film also features Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Eric Dane, and Ioan Gruffudd in supporting roles.

After a successful theatrical run and a stint on VOD, Bad Boys: Ride or Die landed on Netflix as part of Sony's streaming deal. In the U.S., it has since migrated to Hulu, but international viewers can still catch it on Netflix, where it continues to rack up views. The film's longevity on the charts is a testament to its broad appeal, blending high-octane set pieces with the undeniable chemistry of its leads.

The plot follows Miami's finest as they're forced to go on the run after being framed. The official synopsis teases: "The world's favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your-seat action and outrageous comedy, but this time with a twist: Miami's finest are now on the run." Critics have given it a solid 68% on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences have been far more enthusiastic, with a stunning 96% approval rating.

Smith's next big project is the Netflix actioner Fast and Loose, which was originally set to be directed by Michael Bay. However, Bay exited early on due to creative differences—he wanted a more serious tone, while Smith pushed for a comedic approach, and Netflix sided with the star. The film's release date remains unannounced.

There's also the long-gestating I Am Legend sequel, which would reunite Smith with Michael B. Jordan. That project has been stuck in development limbo, with no production start in sight. But given the streaming success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, it's clear Smith's star power hasn't dimmed.

If you haven't caught up with the Bad Boys yet, you can stream Bad Boys: Ride or Die on Hulu in the U.S. or on Netflix internationally. For more on Smith's upcoming slate, including his Netflix projects, stay tuned.
