Widow's Bay follows Loftis, a beleaguered mayor of a small island town who dreams of turning it into a tourist hotspot. But his plans are upended when the locals' superstitions about supernatural hauntings turn out to be terrifyingly real. The show's blend of humor and horror struck a chord with audiences, making it Apple TV's biggest new hit and earning a swift Season 2 renewal.
Creator Katie Dippold has teased what's next for the series, especially after that shocking familial twist revealed the true descendant of the town's founder. During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, she told Collider that filming is expected to begin early next year, with a return by the end of 2027 possible but not guaranteed. Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see what chaos awaits Loftis and the islanders.
