Game of Thrones alum Mark Addy is trading the Iron Throne for a very different kind of holiday gathering. The actor, beloved as King Robert Baratheon, is set to headline a new dark comedy feature titled First Christmas, and we've got the exclusive first look at the full cast.

Directed by Keith Wilhelm Kopp and written by Laurence Guy, the duo behind the award-winning debut Translations, First Christmas is described as "a darkly comic exploration of human connection during a time of heightened expectation and emotional intensity." The project will be presented at the upcoming Cannes Film Market, with plans to begin principal photography in early Fall 2026.

A new sneak peek at 'The Mandalorian and Grogu' has rocketed to #2 on Disney+ global charts, signaling massive anticipation for the first Star Wars movie in seven years.

A Stellar Ensemble for a Twisted Holiday Tale

Joining Addy in the film are a host of familiar faces. Russell Tovey (Years & Years, Being Human) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark) are on board, as is fellow Game of Thrones alum Dean-Charles Chapman. The cast also includes Yasmin Al-Khudhairi (A Good Girl's Guide To Murder), Samuel Anderson (The History Boys), Ian McNeice (Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls), and even Taskmaster's assistant himself, Alex Horne.

Addy's career has been on a hot streak lately. He recently appeared in Dune: Prophecy as Evgeny Harkonnen and will join Michael Sheen and David Tennant in the final season of Good Omens. But First Christmas marks a return to the kind of ensemble-driven, character-focused storytelling that made him a household name.

The film is being produced by Luke Allen (Ask Seek Knock, Telford) with executive producer Alyssa Roehrenbeck (The Saviours, Wishful Thinking).

For fans of dark comedies and holiday films with a twist, First Christmas is shaping up to be a must-watch. Stay tuned for more updates as the project moves toward production.
