Ranked: The 10 Most Flawless Comedy Series of the Past Two Decades
The last 20 years have given us an incredible array of comedy series, but only a handful have achieved perfection. Here are the most flawless comedies, ranked.

In this version, Carrie's story begins after the sudden death of her father, thrusting her into the brutal world of modern high school. She quickly becomes the target of a viral bullying scandal that tears her community apart, all while grappling with her emerging telekinetic powers. Flanagan's series aims to explore the complex making of a "monster" through acts of kindness and cruelty, culminating in that fateful prom night where everything explodes.

The cast also includes Matthew Lillard, who joined the Flanagan family with The Life of Chuck, Amber Midthunder as gym teacher Miss Desjardin, Alison Thornton as bully Chris Hargensen, and Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross. Flanagan directed four of the eight episodes and executive produced alongside King himself. Heather Graham, who appears in the series, hinted at a possible second season if the show succeeds.

This series is part of Flanagan's overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, following his departure from Netflix. He's also working on a new Exorcist film and the DCU's Clayface, but Carrie is his next big TV project. The show arrives later this year, coinciding with the novel's 50th anniversary.
