The wait is almost over for fans of the Vermont's most incompetent law enforcement crew. Super Troopers 3 is set to hit theaters on August 3, and ShowtimeSpot has an exclusive sneak peek that promises all the absurd, R-rated chaos you've been craving. In this new clip, the troopers find themselves in a truly sticky predicament involving a bomb-disposal robot and a trucker's misplaced package.
The scene opens at a remote truck stop, where the gang is called to investigate a suspicious cardboard box discovered by a trucker. Unfortunately, the driver was busy procuring some... let's call them 'illicit services,' so there's no security footage to help. Enter the bomb-disposal robot, a high-tech gadget that seems more trouble than it's worth. Carl Foster (Paul Soter) is at the controls, but his girlfriend and fellow officer Ursula Hansen (Marisa Coughlan) is offering unsolicited advice from the sidelines. Their relationship tension spills into the operation, leading to a series of comedic mishaps. When they finally discover the box's harmless contents, it's too late—the trucker remembers it's his box, and the whole troop ends up covered in a gooey mess.

What Is 'Super Troopers 3' About?
The third installment of the beloved franchise centers on a wedding—specifically, the nuptials of Farva (Kevin Heffernan), the barracks' most clueless and aggressive trooper. Somehow, he's managed to get engaged to the lovely Sarita Makundan (Hannah Simone), who happens to be the sister of second-in-command Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar). As the two brothers-in-law-to-be navigate their new dynamic, the rest of the team—including cantankerous Captain O'Hagen (Brian Cox), prank-loving Mac (Steve Lemme), and eager Rabbit (Eric Stolhanske)—must deal with a new drug ring operating right under their noses. With their limited crime-solving skills, it'll take a miracle to save the day and Farva's wedding.
The original Super Troopers debuted in 2001, becoming a surprise box office hit and later a cult classic through home video. A crowdfunded sequel, Super Troopers 2, repeated that success in 2018. All three films are directed by Chandrasekhar and written by the Broken Lizard comedy troupe, which includes Chandrasekhar, Soter, Heffernan, Lemme, and Stolhanske.

What to Expect from the New Film
Fans can expect the same irreverent humor, slapstick gags, and quotable one-liners that made the franchise a hit. The R rating ensures the comedy stays edgy, with plenty of adult situations and language. The wedding plot adds a fresh dynamic, while the drug ring subplot keeps the action moving. With the original cast returning, including Brian Cox as the long-suffering captain, Super Troopers 3 aims to deliver nostalgia and new laughs in equal measure.
