Season 2, titled Episode of Savanaclaw, is officially set to premiere in December 2026 on Disney+. The news dropped alongside a new poster that teases the Savanaclaw House, a dorm inspired by The Lion King's Scar. The artwork features Housewarden Leona Kingscholar, along with students Ruggie and Jack Howl, with Scar's shadow looming in the background.
The series is based on the popular 2020 mobile game of the same name, which also spawned a manga adaptation. The story follows Yuken Enma, a Japanese high school student with no magical abilities who is mysteriously transported to Night Raven College, an all-boys school where students train in magic. Selected by the Dark Mirror, Yuken is encouraged to stay by Headmage Dire Crowley, even though he can't cast spells. Season 1, which aired in 2025, focused on the Heartslabyul House, a dorm based on Alice in Wonderland's Queen of Hearts.
The first season concluded on December 17, 2025, with a tease of an interdorm magical tournament and a glimpse of the Savanaclaw House. The season was a streaming hit, earning a solid 6.82 score on MyAnimeList. All eight episodes are currently available on Disney+.
Season 1 followed Yuken as he befriended Heartslabyul students Ace Trappola and Duce Spade, and formed an unlikely bond with a talking monster named Grim. Despite lacking magic, Yuken proved his talent for beast taming, helping the group work together. The season built to a conflict with Housewarden Riddle Rosehearts, whose strict rule and overwhelming magic threatened the school. Yuken and his friends had to save Riddle before it was too late.
