Taylor Sheridan has built a television empire, but one of its most unexpected gems is Tulsa King. The series, which pairs Sylvester Stallone with Sheridan's signature storytelling, has become a standout on Paramount+. Now, the streamer's head of originals is singing its praises ahead of Season 4.
Jane Wiseman, Paramount+ EVP and Head of Originals, recently teased what fans can expect from the upcoming season. Speaking to Deadline, she described the new episodes as "incredible," adding that Stallone is "in great form" and that there are "some surprises" in store. She also confirmed that a premiere date announcement is imminent, saying, "We're about to announce the premiere date for Tulsa King Season 4, that one is coming out."
Wiseman's comments suggest that Season 4 won't be the end of the road for Dwight "The General" Manfredi. When she said "that show is continuing," it hinted that a fifth season is already on the horizon, even if Paramount+ hasn't made an official announcement yet. That's welcome news for fans who have followed Stallone's fish-out-of-water mobster since his release from prison.
The upcoming season is also adding some notable talent. Gretchen Mol, known for her role in Boardwalk Empire, will join the cast as Amanda Clark, a Tulsa politician with a significant part to play. Eden Lee will also appear in a recurring role as a character named Maya. Behind the scenes, Terence Winter, whose credits include The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, returns as head writer at Stallone's request. Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes.
The Tulsa King universe is also expanding. A spinoff titled Frisco King is in the works, starring Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr. Jackson introduced the character during Season 3, and filming for the spinoff began in March 2026. Sheridan is writing every episode of the new series, which promises to bring his signature grit to a new setting.
For those unfamiliar with the show, Tulsa King follows Dwight Manfredi, a New York mobster who, after serving 25 years in prison, is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he sets out to build a new criminal empire. The series blends crime drama with Sheridan's trademark wit, making it one of the more entertaining entries in his catalog. If you're a fan of crime sagas, you might also enjoy this look at another crime series that's earned comparisons to The Sopranos.
The cast is led by Stallone, with Martin Starr as Bodhi, Jay Will as Tyson, and Max Casella as Armand. The ensemble also includes Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Frank Grillo, Robert Patrick, and Bella Heathcote. With such a strong lineup, it's no wonder Paramount+ is confident in the show's future.
As for when fans can expect the new season, Wiseman's comments suggest the wait won't be long. With a premiere date announcement on the horizon, anticipation is building. For those who haven't caught up, all previous seasons of Tulsa King are streaming on Paramount+.
