San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is shaping up to be a must-attend event for movie lovers, and ShowtimeSpot is thrilled to announce our exclusive Producers on Producing panel. This year, we're bringing together three of Hollywood's most influential producers: Simon Kinberg (The Martian, Logan, Deadpool), Andrew Form (A Quiet Place franchise, The Purge franchise, Anaconda), and Brad Fuller (A Quiet Place franchise, The Purge franchise, Drop). Moderated by our own Steve Weintraub, this conversation will peel back the curtain on what it truly means to produce blockbuster entertainment.
What to Expect from the Panel
If you've never caught a ShowtimeSpot Comic-Con panel, you're in for a treat. Producers on Producing offers an insider's look at the often-invisible work that goes into making your favorite films. From script development and financing to production oversight and marketing, producers are the backbone of every movie, ensuring directors can bring their visions to life. Our previous panel featured Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Akiva Goldsman, and Roy Lee, who shared wild stories from sets like The Thing and Deep Blue Sea, and even dropped news about upcoming projects like Practical Magic 2. This year promises similar surprises, plus deep dives into past hits and future releases.
Meet the Producers
Simon Kinberg: The Architect of the X-Men Universe
Under his Genre Films banner, Kinberg has overseen the X-Men franchise for over a decade, producing everything from X-Men: First Class and Days of Future Past to the Oscar-nominated Logan and the Deadpool films, including their team-up Deadpool & Wolverine. His portfolio spans genres, from the live-action Cinderella to Kenneth Branagh's Agatha Christie trilogy (starting with Murder on the Orient Express) and Ridley Scott's The Martian, which earned seven Oscar nominations including Best Picture. With over $10 billion in box office gross, Kinberg's projects are box office gold. At the panel, he'll discuss his upcoming romantic heist drama Here Comes the Flood, starring Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Daisy Edgar-Jones, as well as Olivia Wilde's Avengelyne and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's Artemis.
Andrew Form & Brad Fuller: Horror Royalty
This producing duo met through Michael Bay and co-founded Platinum Dunes, launching with the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They continued their horror reboot streak with The Amityville Horror, The Hitcher, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Their collaboration with John Krasinski birthed the original horror franchise A Quiet Place, and they're reuniting for the third and final installment, A Quiet Place III, set for release next year. Beyond that, Fuller is producing The Caretaker starring Sydney Sweeney, OutRun with Michael Bay and Sweeney, and Christopher Landon's Blink of an Eye. The duo's ability to launch original franchises like The Purge and A Quiet Place has made them legends in the genre.
