Prime Video's breakout college romance Off Campus is wasting no time getting back to campus. The streamer has officially confirmed that Season 2 will premiere on April 28, 2027—less than a year after the first season's debut. That's a lightning-fast turnaround for a streaming series, and it's a clear sign that Prime Video is eager to capitalize on the show's massive popularity.
Based on Elle Kennedy's beloved novels, the first season introduced us to the unlikely pairing of Hannah Wells (Ella Bright), a bookish music major, and Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), a star hockey player at Briar University. Their fake relationship—designed to make Hannah's crush jealous—inevitably turned into something real, much to the delight of viewers who made the show a streaming sensation.
Now, Season 2 is shifting its spotlight. While Hannah and Garrett will still be around, the main romance will center on Hannah's friend Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn), Garrett's teammate. This change in focus might explain the quick turnaround, as the new storyline allows the series to explore fresh dynamics while keeping the beloved ensemble intact.
The show's rapid renewal is hardly a surprise. Off Campus pulled in 36 million viewers in its first 12 days, making it Prime Video's third-biggest debut ever and its most-watched among women aged 18–34. That kind of performance puts it in the same conversation as other streaming giants, and it's no wonder the platform is eager to keep the momentum going.
Behind the scenes, the creative team remains strong. Louisa Levy (The Flight Attendant) created the series and co-showruns with Gina Fattore (Gilmore Girls). Executive producers include Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman, Neal Flaherty, and Leanna Billings. The cast also features Antonio Cipriano and Jalen Thomas Brooks as hockey players John Logan and John Tucker, who are expected to get their own romantic arcs in future seasons. Newcomer India Fowler joins as Grace Ivers, John Logan's love interest.
For fans of the books, this is an exciting time. The series has already proven it can translate the source material's charm to the screen, and with a new couple taking center stage, Season 2 promises to deliver the same mix of heart, humor, and steam that made the first season a hit. With the NHL playoffs as a backdrop, the April premiere date feels fitting for a show that revolves around hockey players. It's a smart scheduling move that could attract sports fans and romance lovers alike. And with the streamer's recent success in other genres—like the hippo horror flick Hungry—Prime Video is clearly diversifying its slate, but Off Campus remains a cornerstone of its original programming.
Mark your calendars: Off Campus Season 2 arrives on Prime Video on April 28, 2027. Stay tuned for more updates as the premiere approaches.
