If you thought you'd seen the last of the wildest neighbor disputes on TV, think again. Neighbors, the HBO and A24 docuseries that turns suburban squabbles into cinematic gold, is officially back in production for Season 2. Creators Harrison Fishman and Dylan Redford recently sat down to spill the details on what's coming next—and they're already on the road filming new stories.

For those who missed the first season, Neighbors is a one-of-a-kind series that blends the quirky observational style of How To with John Wilson with the high-stakes tension of Uncut Gems (executive produced by Josh Safdie). Each episode dives into a real-life residential conflict, from a tiny strip of grass causing chaos in Florida to a Halloween decoration rivalry in New Jersey that gets deeply personal. The result is a six-episode snapshot of modern America through the lens of people who just can't get along with the folks next door.

Aaron Paul Joins 'Fallout' Season 3 Cast in 'Westworld' Reunion
Aaron Paul has joined the cast of Fallout Season 3, marking a reunion with Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. The hit Prime Video series continues to expand its ensemble.

Now, less than two months after the Season 1 finale, Fishman and Redford are back at it. “We're in the car right now because we're filming our first story,” Fishman revealed. “Down in South Carolina.” The duo spent two years documenting Season 1, and they're aiming to premiere Season 2 around the same time as the first—likely next year. “We're basically in production through this summer and then the fall,” Redford added.

One of the biggest surprises for the creators was the reaction from the people featured in Season 1. “The overwhelming, positive response from everybody who was in it was one of the most beautiful parts of releasing the show,” Fishman said. “They were all so excited about how they were portrayed and the story we told.” Redford noted that many participants even connected with each other, finding comfort in knowing they weren't alone in their disputes. “There's a camaraderie in having weathered or currently weathering a neighbor dispute,” he explained.

As for what's next, the team is open to revisiting past stories if the conflicts escalate, but they're mostly focused on fresh territory. “We're excited to explore new territories and new situations and people,” Fishman said. “It just has to be really happening in this window that we're going to be filming in.” Fans can expect the same mix of humor, heart, and absurdity that made Season 1 a hit.
