Prime Video has officially locked in a premiere date for Neagley, the first spin-off from the hit action series Reacher. The streamer announced that all eight episodes will drop on September 16, 2026, following directly after the Season 4 finale of the mothership show.

Maria Sten reprises her role as Frances Neagley, the former 110th Special Investigations unit member who has been a fan favorite since Season 1. While Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is known for wandering into towns and dismantling corruption with his bare hands, Neagley has always been the tactical brain behind the brawn—the one who tells him which side of town to enter. Now, she gets her own spotlight.

Taylor Sheridan's 'Dutton Ranch' Taps 'SEAL Team' Creator Benjamin Cavell as Season 2 Showrunner
Following Chad Feehan's departure, Taylor Sheridan's 'Dutton Ranch' has named Benjamin Cavell, creator of 'SEAL Team,' as its new showrunner for Season 2.

The spin-off kicks off when a close friend from Neagley's past dies in what appears to be a suspicious accident. Naturally, nothing is ever an accident when Reacher and Neagley are involved, and the series will follow her as she digs into the truth. The show promises to explore Neagley's life beyond her connection to Reacher, giving viewers a deeper look at the character Sten has inhabited for years.

“I’m so excited about the world getting to know Neagley a little bit better,” Sten said in a statement. “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to just dive deeper into this character. I’ve lived with her for quite a while now and I’m so thrilled to just get to sort of scratch the surface a little bit further compared to what we’ve seen so far.”

Stepping into the lead role comes with its own weight, especially given the passionate fanbase of Lee Child's novels and the Prime Video series. “It’s very exciting to be given this opportunity, but of course there’s also a lot of pressure,” Sten admitted. “I put a lot of pressure on myself to do well and to carry on the legacy in a way that pays homage to Reacher and the books and the characters that Lee Child created.”

The supporting cast includes Greyston Holt (The 100) as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro (Mayor of Kingstown) as Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman (Justified) as Lawrence Cole. Ritchson will also guest star as Reacher, ensuring a familiar face for fans.
