Collider recently sat down with Boon, Allen, and Dhillon to unpack the episode's biggest twists, the tangled loyalties, and who's really pulling the strings in Season 2.
Eddie and Gina's Unlikely Romance Is More Than Just Rebellion
One of the most intriguing dynamics this season is the relationship between Eddie and Gina. What started as Eddie's scheme to get under Harry's skin has evolved into something genuine. Boon explains, "I 100% think there are real feelings now between Eddie and Gina. In Series 1, it was part of Eddie's plan to get at Harry—how could he hurt him the most? But spending so much time together, they've found a real common ground."
That common ground comes from shared experiences that no one else can understand: being raised by gangsters, attending posh London schools, and living between the Cotswolds and the city. "They have a lot in common," Boon adds, noting that he's proud of Eddie for standing his ground against Maeve when she tries to push Gina away. "He doesn't do that often, but he says, 'No, Gina's really good,' and she is."
Allen echoes that sentiment, suggesting Gina's feelings are real, but she's also a strategist. "She's a very clever girl," Allen says. "When she tells her mom she can handle Eddie, it's her way of showing she's in control, even though Eddie is such a wild card. But she's got a good grip on the situation."
Seraphina's Power Play: Why She Sides With Kat
Seraphina's decision to partner with Kat is a bold move that could backfire spectacularly. Dhillon reveals that Seraphina is driven by a desire to never be in a vulnerable position again. "She's very smart, and she can see that this ship is sinking," Dhillon says. "She's making moves for herself, and that's her driving force."
But it's not just about survival. "Seraphina 100% wants to then take Kat down," Dhillon adds. "She wants the top spot. She wants to be able to delegate and rest, and she's business-savvy enough to know how it should be run." The problem is her family's operation is full of holes, and something has to give. "That's her main reasoning behind going with Kat."
Who's the Bigger Threat: Maeve or Conrad?
When asked who viewers should fear most this season, the trio is unanimous: Maeve. "She's the puppet master," Allen says. "Conrad is quick on the trigger, but she's got fingers in all the pies." Boon agrees, calling her the real power behind the throne.
Dhillon adds a nuance: "I do think Maeve, but Conrad is going through something that's taking whatever logic he had out of it. Even in Episode 1, he's not thinking ahead—he's just doing things. That's also a little bit dangerous." Allen sums it up: "He's a loose cannon."
