The Reagan family has been a staple of television since 2010, and even though Blue Bloods wrapped up its 14-season run in December 2024, CBS isn't ready to let go of this beloved clan. With Boston Blue, Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan has traded New York for a new beat in Boston, bringing fresh faces and new challenges. But some family ties are too strong to break, and this week, a familiar face shakes things up in the Hub.

Collider is excited to share an exclusive sneak peek at Boston Blue Season 2, Episode 5, titled "Blood Diamonds," airing tonight on CBS. The episode marks the return of Will Estes as Jamie Reagan, reuniting with his on-screen brother Danny. Jamie's visit takes a dangerous turn when the two are pulled into a diamond heist linked to a violent family feud, forcing them to confront unresolved issues between them.

The Reagan Legacy Lives On

Blue Bloods followed multiple generations of the Reagan family as they navigated the darker side of New York City from their various law enforcement roles. After 293 episodes, the series concluded, but CBS continued the franchise with Boston Blue, which follows Danny as he starts a new chapter with the Boston Police Department.

The show stars Wahlberg as Danny Reagan, Sonequa Martin-Green as Lena Silver, Maggie Lawson as Sarah Silver, Marcus Scribner as Jonah Silver, Gloria Reuben as Mae Silver, and Ernie Hudson as Reverend Edwin Peters.

This reunion is a treat for fans who've followed the Reagan brothers' dynamic. It also echoes other recent TV reunions, like the SVU 600th episode that brought Benson and Stabler back together. And with Boston Blue already giving Danny a promotion he never got in New York, this episode adds another layer to his evolving story.

Don't miss "Blood Diamonds" on Friday, November 6, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode will also stream live on Paramount+ Premium and be available on demand the next day. For more updates on your favorite shows, stay tuned to Collider.
