Prime Video has just dropped the first trailer for The Man With the Bag, a holiday heist comedy that pairs action icons Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson in a festive adventure. The film, which hits the streaming service globally on December 2, 2026, marks Schwarzenegger's first Christmas movie in three decades and gives Ritchson a chance to show off his comedic chops beyond his tough-guy role in Reacher.
The story kicks off when Santa's iconic red bag is stolen by a rogue elf with a grudge, putting Christmas in jeopardy. With his busiest night looming, Santa turns to an unlikely ally: a professional thief from his 'Naughty List.' That thief, played by Ritchson, quickly assembles a crew of criminally skilled misfits, with a little help from elves and reindeer, to pull off the most unexpected heist of their lives. It's a frothy, family-friendly adventure that promises laughs and holiday cheer.
Who Else Stars in 'The Man With the Bag'?
The ensemble cast is packed with talent. Awkwafina plays the rogue elf responsible for the theft, while Berkeley James, Michael Cyril Creighton, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski, and Ken Jeong round out the supporting roles. Adam Shankman directs from a screenplay by Allan Rice, with producers including Lawrence Grey, Ben Everard, Reg Tigerman, Dan Spilo, and Ritchson himself.
For Ritchson, this project feels like a natural evolution. He's been the face of Prime Video's hit series Reacher, and this film positions him as a potential successor to Schwarzenegger's legacy as a muscle-bound action star with a knack for comedy. It's a passing of the torch that fans of both actors will appreciate.
The trailer showcases the chemistry between Schwarzenegger and Ritchson, with plenty of slapstick moments and holiday-themed action. The film is rated PG and runs 111 minutes, making it a perfect watch for the whole family during the holiday season.
