James Gunn's Superman: Man of Tomorrow just got a major new addition. Sinqua Walls, known for his roles in Netflix's Carry-On and Teen Wolf, has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated DC sequel. While his role remains under wraps, Walls is the latest in a string of exciting new faces entering Gunn's expanding DC Universe.

The film, which follows the success of 2025's Superman, will bring back David Corenswet as the Man of Steel and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. They'll face off against Brainiac, played by Lars Eidinger, in what promises to be a cosmic showdown. Other returning favorites include Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart/Green Lantern—making his theatrical debut after appearing in the Lanterns series.

How Michael Crichton's 'Westworld' Blends 'Jurassic Park' and 'Tombstone' Into One Wild Sci-Fi Western
Michael Crichton's 1973 film 'Westworld' is a sci-fi western that feels like a mashup of 'Jurassic Park' and 'Tombstone,' blending theme park chaos with Old West grit.

Walls is no stranger to genre fare. He played Sir Lancelot on Once Upon a Time, Vernon Boyd on Teen Wolf, and recently starred in Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist as McKinley 'Mac' Rogers. He's also appeared on Grey's Anatomy and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. His casting adds to a growing roster of newcomers, including Adria Arjona, Andre Royo, and Matthew Lillard—all in undisclosed roles. Rumors suggest Arjona might play the comic anti-heroine Maxima, but nothing is confirmed yet.

The 2025 Superman was a critical and commercial hit, grossing over $618 million worldwide and earning an 83% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 90% audience approval. Critics praised the film for skipping the origin story and diving straight into action, with special kudos for Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific. Some noted the film's comic-book authenticity, though Gunn's signature humor drew mixed reactions. Collider's Ross Bonaime gave it an 8/10, lauding its hopeful tone and performances, but wished for more Daily Planet scenes.

For fans eager to catch up, the first Superman is streaming on HBO Max. Man of Tomorrow is set to hit theaters on July 9, 2027. In other casting news, Matt Bomer has joined 'The Day of the Jackal' Season 2 as a villain, and Alan Ritchson is set to star in Arnold Schwarzenegger's holiday heist film.
