Apple TV+ is taking us back underground. The streaming service has unveiled the first trailer for Silo Season 3, the acclaimed dystopian sci-fi series starring Rebecca Ferguson. The show, which has become one of Apple's biggest breakout hits, returns on July 3 with a 10-episode season that promises to deepen the mystery of humanity's subterranean existence.
Unlike many sci-fi epics that rely on spaceships or alien invasions, Silo builds its world downward. Each level of the massive underground silo brings new threats and mounting paranoia—and this season, that paranoia might be more justified than ever. The series, based on Hugh Howey's bestselling trilogy, follows 10,000 people living in a sealed silo under circumstances that are, to put it mildly, suspicious.
What to Expect in Season 3
Season 3 will continue the present-day story of Juliette Nichols (Ferguson), who survives her forced "cleaning" but returns with memory loss. The silo is still reeling from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, the season will also reveal an origin story set centuries earlier, showing viewers the events that led to humanity's life underground.
In the "Before Times," journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that sets off a chain of catastrophic events. So yes, things are going about as well as you'd expect in this dystopian hellscape.
Cast and Creative Team
The cast includes Rebecca Ferguson (Dune) as Juliette, Common (John Wick: Chapter 2) as Robert Sims, Harriet Walter (Succession) as Martha Walker, Chinaza Uche (Dickinson) as Paul Billings, Avi Nash (The Walking Dead) as Lukas Kyle, Alexandria Riley (The End of the F***ing World) as Camille Sims, Ashley Zukerman (Succession) as Daniel Keene, and Jessica Henwick (The Matrix Resurrections) as Helen Drew.
The series was created by Emmy winner Graham Yost, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Yost executive produces alongside Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Amber Templemore, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios. Silo is produced by Apple Studios.
For fans of Apple TV+'s growing sci-fi library, Silo joins a strong lineup that includes hits like Anya Taylor-Joy's The Gorge and the recently launched Star City. The streamer has also been reviving other sci-fi favorites, as seen with HBO's cancelled Westworld finding new life on Apple TV.
Release Schedule
Silo Season 3 premieres globally on Apple TV+ on July 3. The season will debut with one episode, followed by new episodes every Friday through September 4, 2026. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream now.
