Prime Video's Reacher is gearing up for its fourth season, and if you need a refresher on the action-packed third outing, you're in the right place. Since his debut in 2022, Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) has drifted from Margrave, Georgia, to Atlantic City's casinos, always stumbling into trouble. Each season drops him into a new locale with a fresh case, and Season 3 was no exception—it delivered some of the series' most intense and personal stakes yet.
Undercover in Maine
Season 3 opens in Abbottsville, Maine, where Reacher appears to botch a kidnapping rescue by accidentally shooting a cop. But it's all a setup: he's actually working with DEA agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) to infiltrate the rug business of Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall), who they believe is holding DEA agent Teresa Daniels (Storm Steenson) captive. To get close, Reacher adopts a new identity and saves Beck's son, Richard (Johnny Berchtold), from a staged kidnapping. After passing a brutal interrogation and a game of Russian roulette, he's hired as one of Beck's enforcers, much to the chagrin of security chief Chapman Duke (Donald Sales) and the towering Paulie (Olivier Richters).
Reacher's cover is nearly blown when henchman Angel Doll (Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz) tails him during a truck delivery. Reacher kills Angel and hides the body, but the tension only escalates. He and Duffy sneak into an impound lot to dispose of the corpse and find Teresa, only to fight off two attackers instead. Back at the estate, Reacher earns Richard's trust, learning that Beck fears a criminal named Julius McCabe. To get closer to Beck, Reacher rigs a microwave explosion that kills Duke, pinning it on Angel.
A Ghost from the Past
The season's biggest reveal is that McCabe is actually Francis Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee), a former military intelligence officer turned arms dealer—and Reacher's most personal nemesis. Years ago, while serving with the 110th MP, Reacher investigated Quinn, who kidnapped and murdered Reacher's protégé, Sergeant Dominique Kohl (Mariah Robinson). Reacher shot Quinn and threw him off a cliff, but Quinn survived, leaving a score unsettled.
As Reacher digs deeper, he discovers Quinn's real game: trafficking powerful, untraceable weapons, not drugs. The Russian mob financed the operation and wants their money back. Reacher's cover is blown when Quinn connects him to the 110th, forcing a daring escape from the Beck estate. Meanwhile, Duffy and her team suffer a loss when Beck's former bodyguard, John Cooper (Ronnie Rowe), kills rookie agent Steven Eliot (Daniel David Stewart) before being taken down by Reacher.
The Final Showdown
Reacher and Duffy track Quinn to Los Angeles, where they force drug dealer Darien Prado (Greg Bryk) to help them intercept a weapons shipment. They learn Quinn plans to sell to buyers from Yemen. Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) uncovers Quinn's bloody history, and Duffy brings in the ATF for backup—but Reacher wants Quinn for himself. The team heads to a salvage yard expecting the deal, only to realize it's a diversion. The real exchange is happening at Beck's 50th birthday party back at the mansion.
The finale is a full-throttle race back to the estate, with Reacher, Duffy, Villy, and Neagley crashing the party. Quinn's operation unravels, and Reacher finally gets his chance at vengeance. It's a brutal, satisfying climax that sets the stage for whatever Season 4 has in store.
