In the latest episode of MobLand, the Harrigans are forced to flee their Cotswolds home after Frankie Cooper's attack, landing in Mallorca. There, Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon) finally reunites with her mother, Priyanka (Koel Purie), and her wealthy stepfather, Charlton (David Bedella). But the reunion takes a tense turn when Seraphina pitches a bold new business plan to her father, Conrad (Pierce Brosnan), only to be met with a brutal rejection.
We caught up with Dhillon to unpack that intense dinner scene, Seraphina's mindset, and what lies ahead for her character as loyalties shift and the family's future hangs in the balance.
A Family Reunion with a Twist
Seeing Seraphina with her mother was a long time coming for fans, and Dhillon says it brings a different side of her character to light. "There's always comfort in going home, isn't there?" she muses. "She loves her dad and is very much part of that household, but her mum's life is stable—a different world. She's caught between the two."
That duality is key to understanding Seraphina. As Conrad famously puts it, "We're not fucking Coca-Cola, we're outlaws." But Seraphina can play both roles. "She can do the whole Coca-Cola thing when she's with her mum," Dhillon explains. "But when she returns to the Cotswolds, she's back to being an outlaw."
The Dinner Scene: A Gamble That Backfires
In the episode, Seraphina uses the dinner to propose that Conrad partner with Charlton to expand the business globally and gain protection. It's a bold move, but Conrad shuts it down without hesitation. Dhillon admits Seraphina had hoped for a different outcome. "I think there was a bit of her that hoped he could see it from her point of view," she says. "She's offering him a way to stay on top without the constant struggle, but he'd rather not take it."
Still, Seraphina knows her father well. "Deep down, she knows it was never going to be an easy yes," Dhillon adds. "But the full-on 'abso-fucking-lutely not' still hurts. The family needs that power, and they're losing ground. So his reaction is a shock, even if she should have expected it."
Fallout and Future Alliances
Conrad's discovery of Seraphina's secret talks with Kat McAllister (Janet McTeer) adds another layer of tension. Dhillon teases that Seraphina might be able to "dig herself out of that hole by being helpful"—a hint that she could prove indispensable despite the trust issues.
As for potential allies, Dhillon points to Harry (Tom Hardy) as Seraphina's strongest supporter, and she hints at a possible partnership with Bella (Lara Pulver). "Kevin and Bella perk up during her pitch," she notes, "and there's definitely a spark of interest there."
With the Harrigans on the run and power dynamics shifting, Seraphina is determined to carve out her place. "If it's not her, it won't be for lack of trying," Dhillon says with a laugh.
