Since its debut on Paramount+, Avatar: Seven Havens has painted a far darker picture of Avatar Korra than fans ever saw in her own series. In this new era from Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the Avatar is remembered not as a hero but as the catalyst for the Cataclysm—a figure whose actions still haunt the survivors. But a fresh sneak peek at Episode 7 suggests that the truth might be more complicated than the legends suggest.
In the exclusive clip, twins Pavi (Saheli Khan) and Nisha (Aishu Devan), along with their companion Jae (Major Curda), venture into a mysterious facility hidden beneath the city of Ellora. The place is clearly from the pre-Cataclysm world, filled with advanced technology and banners representing the four nations. Jae tries to play it cool, but the eerie atmosphere gets to him. When Geet accidentally flips a switch, the entire facility comes alive, and a screen flickers to life showing a team of scientists waving—prompting Pavi to wave back with charming politeness.
The trio is stunned to see footage of the old world: bustling cities, futuristic vehicles, and thriving businesses. But the most shocking moment comes when they spot an older Korra standing as a symbol of hope during a public event. The footage cuts out before they can learn more, but the image is enough to shake their assumptions. This Korra doesn't look like a monster—she looks like a leader.
Pavi, Nisha, and their guardian Karthik (Akshay Khanna) have all harbored doubts about Korra's true nature. Seeing her in action only deepens their suspicion that the stories they've been told are incomplete. The discovery raises new questions: What is this facility? How does it connect to Korra? And what really happened during the Cataclysm?
This revelation could be the key to unraveling the mystery of Korra's vilification. But first, the group needs to report back to Karthik and decide their next move. Meanwhile, Ellora is facing its own crises, with help arriving from other havens.
The series has already secured its future, with Paramount+ ordering Seasons 3 and 4 earlier this month, ensuring at least as many books as The Legend of Korra. Additionally, a new spinoff, Wave of Chaos, will explore the life of Avatar Kuruk before Aang's time. With a perfect 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the creative duo has earned plenty of trust from fans and critics alike.
For those eager to see how this storyline unfolds, Avatar: Seven Havens drops Episodes 7 through 9 on October 23, with Episodes 10-13 closing out Book 1 on October 30. Check out the exclusive sneak peek above.
