After a two-year wait, Angel Studios is bringing back its post-apocalyptic drama Homestead: The Series for a second season. The show, which continues the story from the 2024 film Homestead, will premiere on Tuesday, November 3, with eight episodes rolling out weekly. To build anticipation, Angel Studios has shared exclusive first-look images and detailed synopses for every episode with Collider.

The series is based on the bestselling Black Autumn book series by Jeff Kirkham and Jason Ross (the pen name for Jayson Orvis), who co-created the show with showrunner Ben Kasica. The film, led by Neal McDonough, was a box office success, earning over $20 million against a $5 million budget. It can currently be streamed on Angel's platform and Paramount Plus. The series picks up directly after the film's events.

Episode 1: "Horsemen of the Apocalypse" (Nov. 3) – Two months after battling Raven Rock, starving refugees overrun the Homestead and steal winter food. Jacq gives birth amid the chaos, while Cain's defense of the vault ends in tragedy. With famine and disease spreading, Jeff is asked to confront a powerful leader who has cut off the northern valley's crops.

Episode 2: "In The Last Days, Heed God" – Jeff takes on a dangerous mission against Nathan Burnham and prepares for war. Rick and Tish head south to expose Burnham and build resistance from within. Jenna fears Cain's harsh rule will destroy the community, and Bing's attempt to protect a traveling family ends in devastating failure.

Episode 3: "Charlie Mike" – Evan leads Echo Squad through a ruined city to open a route into South Valley, but his unresolved guilt pulls him into a fortified scavenger camp. Captured by its brutal leader, Evan must confront his worst military memory and decide what kind of man he will become. Even if he escapes, he may carry a secret that could destroy a fragile new bond.

Episode 4: "The Grindstone of Survival" – As flu and famine tighten their grip, Jenna follows Claire beyond the Homestead and finds an orphanage filled with sick mothers and freezing children. Cain tracks disappearing supplies and makes an example of a hungry resident. Bing trains Burnham's teenage recruits, Rick and Tish seek an ally in South Valley, and Jeff moves closer to building an unthinkable weapon.

Episode 5: "Another Way" – Claire falls dangerously ill after caring for the orphanage. Cain shuts down Jeff's weapons operation and expels the Homestead's refugees and Kindred residents. Jeff and Jenna lead the displaced families to an abandoned Bible camp, creating a new community beyond Cain's control. In the south, Evan and Tanya search for another way to rescue women and children from a fortified prison.

Episode 6: "Exile" – A rescue at the prison erupts into open battle, forcing Jeff to unleash the weapons he hoped to avoid. As Burnham prepares to invade, Bing offers a dangerous plan to end the war before it begins. Thayer's death throws the Kindred into crisis, a child is exposed to Jeff's chemical weapon, and Jenna finally confronts Cain. Meanwhile, Evan struggles to tell Tanya the truth about her husband.

Episode 7: "A Heart of War" (Dec. 8) – Burnham survives an assassination attempt and turns it into a call for holy war. As Rick and Tish face trial, Jeff prepares to defend the pass—but the northern army he was promised never arrives. Outnumbered and nearly out of options, he must make a desperate stand.

Episode 8: Season finale – Details are still under wraps, but the finale promises to resolve the escalating conflict between the Homestead and Burnham's forces.

With its mix of survival drama, moral dilemmas, and high-stakes action, Homestead: The Series Season 2 looks to expand its loyal fanbase. The show joins a growing slate of Angel Studios projects, including the Alan Ritchson-led film Runner. For fans of post-apocalyptic storytelling, this is one premiere to mark on the calendar.
