Twenty-five years after the first Hogwarts letter arrived, the Wizarding World is rolling back into theaters with a trainload of nostalgia—and a seriously cool popcorn bucket. Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled a first look at the merchandise accompanying the limited anniversary run of all eight Harry Potter films, and the star of the show is a detailed model of the Hogwarts Express.
New images from San Diego Comic-Con, shared by Collider's Steve Weintraub, showcase a collection of cinema goodies designed for the franchise's 25th anniversary. Among them is a large red-and-gold steam engine popcorn container, complete with wheels and the iconic “5972” numbering. It's the kind of collectible that would make any Potterhead feel like they're boarding Platform 9¾.
But the Hogwarts Express isn't the only magical merch on display. Another bucket features a moonlit Hogwarts castle, adorned with removable crests for Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. There's also a drink container styled like a Hogwarts uniform, complete with a Gryffindor scarf, striped tie, and matching straw. And for Quidditch fans, an oversized Nimbus 2000 broomstick is part of the lineup.
The merchandise drop coincides with the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (released internationally as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone). The film will return to theaters with 12 minutes of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, offering fans a fresh glimpse into the making of the magical world. All eight movies will screen worldwide from August 27 through September 3, with tickets going on sale July 31.
The anniversary celebrations extend beyond the big screen. Global fan events, theme-park activations, and new teases for HBO's upcoming Harry Potter television series are all part of the festivities.
