Production on Ghosts Season 6 is officially underway, and the cast is already teasing some major developments. At San Diego Comic-Con, showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman revealed that the upcoming Halloween special will introduce Hetty's sister Margaret, a brand-new type of ghost. The Christmas special will then pay homage to Die Hard and feature the show's first ghost-on-ghost possession. But the biggest buzz surrounds the milestone 100th episode, which is just around the corner.
In an exclusive chat with Collider, stars Asher Grodman (Trevor), Román Zaragoza (Sasappis), and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Jay) opened up about what reaching 100 episodes means to them. Zaragoza, who grew up watching sitcoms like How I Met Your Mother and The Office, said it's a dream come true. "I always dreamed of being on a sitcom that ran this long," he shared. "When they hit the 100 mark, they always did something special. It's mind-blowing." Ambudkar, meanwhile, is already feeling nostalgic, predicting that the show's legacy will echo that of Friends or Frasier. For Grodman, the best part is the bond he's formed with his castmates. "For the rest of my life, these people are going to be part of my DNA," he said.
Ghost Boundary Shake-Up
One of the most exciting reveals from the panel was that the ghost boundary—which keeps spirits tethered to the Woodstone property—will temporarily change or disappear this season. When asked where their characters would go first, Zaragoza and Grodman had very different ideas. Zaragoza suggested that Sasappis and his roaming girlfriend Joan would take a romantic trip. Grodman, on the other hand, joked that Trevor would head straight to a strip club ("Scores," to be exact), though he added that Trevor might also check in on his parents.
But what about the risk of disappearing like Pete did in the Season 5 finale? Zaragoza isn't too worried, trusting Joan's experience with roaming. Grodman kept it light: "Lap dances have limits, so he'd be able to get back in time."
Trevor and Hetty: The Slow Burn Continues
Fans have long shipped Trevor and Hetty, and Grodman is all in. He compared their dynamic to Sam and Diane from Cheers, but "more combustible." He said, "Whatever happens at the end of this show, the two of them deserve to be stuck with each other for eternity, just annoying the hell out of each other." He teased that the tension, power dynamics, and competition will keep building, and he's confident the payoff is coming.
With the 100th episode approaching, the cast is manifesting big things. As SDCC 2026's top TV moments showed, Ghosts remains a fan favorite. And with other shows teasing their futures, Ghosts is clearly in good company. The Season 6 premiere can't come soon enough.
