Halloween Special: Hetty's Sister and a Two-Part Premiere
The season will open with a two-part Halloween special, marking the first time the show has done a two-parter for the spooky holiday. In these episodes, we'll finally meet Hetty's sister, Margaret, and explore their strained relationship. The show has a tradition of increasingly wild possessions during holiday specials, and this year's Halloween installment promises to deliver a fresh twist on the classic Die Hard formula.
Christmas Special: More Possession Fun
Following the Halloween episodes, a Christmas special will continue the holiday tradition. While details are still under wraps, fans can expect the same blend of heart and humor that has made the show's holiday episodes a fan favorite. 100th Episode: A Reality Show Invasion
The 100th episode will be a milestone celebration, and the ghosts' favorite reality series, It's Getting Hot in Here, will be filming at the mansion. Sasappis' Death and a Boundary Change
One of the biggest reveals from the panel is that Season 6 will finally show Sasappis' death, completing the backstory for the last of the main eight ghosts. Additionally, the ghosts' boundary—the invisible line they cannot cross—will temporarily change, leading to new dynamics and adventures. Showrunners Port and Wiseman previously told Collider that Season 6 will begin with a time jump, picking up several months after the Season 5 finale. They teased catching up with Sam's movie career, the ghosts' new status quo, and the fate of Pete, who vanished in the cliffhanger. The entire ensemble is expected to return, and CBS has not yet set a release date for the Halloween special, though October 29 seems likely.
