Get ready to hold your breath. The first trailer for Don't Move has arrived, and it's already being hailed as the next big creature feature. This survival thriller takes the nerve-wracking silence of A Quiet Place and injects it with the primal fear of Arachnophobia, creating a heart-pounding experience that will have audiences gripping their armrests.
The film strands a group of church members in the remote Ozark wilderness, where they encounter a massive prehistoric spider. This isn't your average eight-legged nightmare, though. The creature tracks its prey through vibrations, meaning a single breath, footstep, or even a flinch could be deadly. The only way to survive is to do exactly what the title says: don't move.
The trailer does a fantastic job of introducing the key players while teasing some intense horror sequences. Leading the cast is Tom Cavanagh, best known as Dr. Harrison Wells from The Flash. He's joined by Lyndsy Fonseca, rapper Russell "Russ" Vitale, Hunter King, Joseph Lee Anderson, and comedian Rob Riggle, along with some fun cameos that fans will love.
One of the biggest surprises behind the scenes is the involvement of James Murray, one of the Impractical Jokers. Murray co-wrote and produced the film, adapting it from his own 2020 novel co-written with Darren Wearmouth. He's quietly built a second career as an author, publishing nine books since 2018. His fellow Joker Brian "Q" Quinn also appears in the movie, sparking hopes that the rest of the crew might join him on screen.
Indie director Maclain Nelson, a close friend of Murray's for 25 years, helmed the project. The film is set to hit theaters on September 11, 2026. For more on the resurgence of creature features, check out our list of the scariest horror movies since 2000.
