"The character of Dr. Strange has access to so many bizarre realms, I wanted to introduce him to a dark and twisted Lovecraft-inspired story," Anderson said. "I brought in an important and popular villain in the Dr. Strange universe, as well as another villain who has never appeared since Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created him in 1964's Dr. Strange #122. It was amazing to play in this universe."
This graphic novel also marks a reunion for Anderson, Allén, and Martín, who previously collaborated on Dune: The Graphic Novel.
