After shattering box office records and earning universal acclaim, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle is finally making its way to streaming. Crunchyroll announced at Anime Expo that the film will premiere on the platform on July 28, 2026, at 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET, giving fans a chance to relive the epic showdown from the comfort of home.
Released in 2025, Infinity Castle became the highest-grossing anime film of all time and the seventh-highest-grossing movie of the year worldwide. It holds a rare 98% approval rating from both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, cementing its status as a modern classic. The film adapts the climactic chapters of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga, where Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps launch a desperate assault on Muzan Kibutsuji's fortress.
What to Expect from the Streaming Release
The streaming version will include both English and Japanese dubs, along with subtitles and dubs in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and other languages. This marks the first time the film will be available outside theaters since its initial run, which Crunchyroll had previously insisted would be "only in theaters."
For those unfamiliar, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle picks up where the fourth season left off, plunging viewers into the labyrinthine Infinity Castle where Tanjiro and his allies face off against Muzan's Upper Rank demons. Notably, the film also features Channing Tatum's anime debut as the character Keizo, adding a surprising Hollywood touch to the Japanese production.
The Demon Slayer Phenomenon
Based on Gotouge's 2016 manga, Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae in Japanese and Zach Aguilar in English), a young boy whose family is slaughtered by demons. His sister Nezuko (Akari Kitō/Abby Trott) survives but is transformed into a demon. Tanjiro becomes a Demon Slayer to find a cure for Nezuko and avenge his family by defeating the Demon King, Muzan.
The anime series, which concluded in 2024, earned an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.40 on MyAnimeList, spawning four seasons, two films, and two compilation movies. Infinity Castle is the first of a planned film trilogy that will adapt the manga's final arc, with the sequel's release date yet to be announced.
For fans eager to catch up on the series, Crunchyroll offers the complete Demon Slayer catalog, including the best anime on Netflix and Crunchyroll this July. Meanwhile, the film's streaming debut coincides with other major anime events, such as My Neighbor Totoro returning to theaters.
With its record-breaking run and critical acclaim, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is a must-watch for anime fans and newcomers alike. Mark your calendars for July 28—the battle for humanity's future is just a click away.
