Chris Pratt is having a banner year. After kicking off 2026 with the sci-fi thriller Mercy—which, despite a modest theatrical run, became a streaming juggernaut on Prime Video—and lending his voice to the record-breaking Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the actor is now gearing up for his next big project. And this one is heading to Apple TV+ with a release date that fans won't want to miss.

Pratt's upcoming film, Way of the Warrior Kid, is set to premiere on the streaming service on November 25. The movie, directed by McG and based on Jocko Willink's book Way of the Warrior Kid: From Wimpy to Warrior the Navy SEAL Way, tells a heartfelt story about resilience and family bonds.

The Most Brutal Action Movies Ever Made, Ranked
From John Woo's gun-fu classic to the bone-crushing Raid, these are the most violent action films ever put on screen, ranked for maximum carnage.

In the film, Pratt plays Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL who spends his summer with his sister Sarah (Linda Cardellini) and her son Marc (Jude Hill). Both Jake and Marc are struggling in their own ways. Marc is having a rough time in middle school—bullied, struggling with grades, and dreading gym class. Jake, meanwhile, is dealing with his own personal demons.

Together, they embark on what Jake calls "Operation Warrior Kid," using his military training to help Marc build confidence and courage. The journey proves transformative for both of them, as Marc learns what real strength looks like, and Jake rediscovers his own purpose.

The film's release comes at a perfect time for Pratt, whose hit series The Terminal List recently returned for its second season on Prime Video and is currently the platform's most-watched show. For fans of that gritty military thriller, Way of the Warrior Kid offers a different tone—more emotional and uplifting—but with the same commitment to authentic military experiences.

If you're in the mood for more military action, check out this Prime Video thriller that's a perfect Reacher replacement. And for more Pratt, you can catch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on HBO Max this month.

What Else Is Coming to Apple TV+ in November?

Way of the Warrior Kid is just one of several exciting titles landing on Apple TV+ this month. Owen Wilson's sports comedy Stick returns for a second season on November 4. Then, on November 6, Awkwafina stars in a new reality series, Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook, where she learns to cook to save her family's business.

Later in the month, Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan face off in 12 12 12, a heist thriller set in Europe, premiering November 13. That same day, Siân Heder brings Being Heumann to the streamer, following a theatrical release on November 6. Heder, who won an Oscar for CODA in 2021, could be in the awards conversation again with this one.

With such a packed slate, Apple TV+ is clearly aiming to close out the year strong. And for Pratt, Way of the Warrior Kid adds another diverse role to his already impressive 2026 résumé.

Mark your calendars: Way of the Warrior Kid streams exclusively on Apple TV+ starting November 25.
