Chris Pratt is having a banner year, but his latest streaming triumph proves that his appeal extends far beyond the big screen. The Terminal List Season 2 has arrived on Prime Video, and it's already making waves, drawing inevitable comparisons to another Prime Video heavyweight: Reacher.
Pratt's 2026 has been a mixed bag at the box office. His sci-fi thriller Mercy, co-starring Rebecca Ferguson, struggled critically and earned just $54 million worldwide against a $60 million budget. However, it found a second life on Prime Video, becoming one of the year's most-watched streaming movies. Then came The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which rocketed past $1 billion globally, marking another milestone in Pratt's career alongside Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World.
Now, Pratt is back in the streaming spotlight with The Terminal List Season 2, which premiered on Prime Video to significant fanfare. The streamer even hosted theatrical screenings for the premiere, a testament to the show's event status. Pratt has credited the season's "old-school filmmaking" for this approach, designed to be experienced on the biggest screen possible.
The series, based on Jack Carr's novels, follows James Reece, a Navy SEAL who uncovers a vast conspiracy. Its return has sparked renewed interest in Season 1, which climbed to #15 on Prime Video's overall charts and cracked the top 10 in markets like Australia and the UK.
Comparisons to Reacher are inevitable. Both shows center on formidable military operatives navigating a world of danger and intrigue. While Reacher has been more prolific—recently wrapping its fourth season—The Terminal List is proving that its slower pace doesn't diminish its impact. For fans of Jack Reacher's modern tech updates, The Terminal List offers a similar blend of grit and intelligence.
With The Terminal List Season 2 now streaming, Pratt is also gearing up for Way of the Warrior Kid, an action comedy for Apple TV, co-starring Linda Cardellini, due later this year. But for now, all eyes are on Prime Video, where Pratt's series is proving to be a worthy companion to the expanding Reacher universe.
As streaming continues to dominate entertainment, The Terminal List stands as a testament to the power of star-driven, high-octane storytelling. Whether you're a fan of Pratt's blockbuster movies or his streaming ventures, this season is a must-watch.
